burn down for what?

Label Design + Web Design

Burn Down for What? is a sassy candle shop self-described as, “unapologetically real scents made using all-natural soy wax, cotton wicks, and real fragrances, with a little humor thrown in for good measure.” The owner and bad-ass female entrepreneur Molly, came to me wanting a new labeling design system that matched the tone of her brand. Together we developed labels for 16 candles (more to new scents to come!) that worked across multiple product sizes. The next step was a website update. We knew we needed some images of the candles that not only showed off the new labels, but also brought in the brand’s personality and visually showcased the scents. Gari-Ann of Kia & Co did a wonderful job photographing each (highly recommend her for all your branding photography needs)! We also needed to rearrange the site to make it as easy as possible for customers to shop! Check out all the fun below and at www.burndownforwhatcandles.com.

Below are the 10 Everyday Scents that are stocked year-round.

She also has a line of Mandles - candles made by a woman with men in mind.

Each candle’s label was designed in three different sizes - the 22 oz. glass jar, 8 oz. tin and 4 oz. sample tin.

Below are the photos taken for the website of each candle scent. I helped coordinate website image needs while Molly curated props for each!

And of course, we had to include some cute gifs!

And finally, here is the website!
